Our Upcoming Meeting

Program:	Title: Which is your prevalent personality style and how to use this in your relationships? Speaker:Vicki Hunter Bio: Vicki Hunter has been a successful sales and marketing director for a large cosmetics company for over 18 years. Throughout her extensive experience and various positions she has learned how important it is to understand yourself and other personality styles in order to build relationships which ultimately helps increase sales and your success. Vicki's presentation will focus on the idea of understanding others by understanding yourself. Whether in a business relationship, family relationship, school relationship or husband and wife relationship, the insights that will be provided will be a springboard for application to help improve those relationships. We will all participate in a Personality Profile that will help us to better understand who we are and why we act the way we do, which in turn will point the direction in how to make some changes within ourselves in order to be more successful in our interactions with others.
Date:	Wednesday, Feb. 16th, 5pm
Location:	St. Charles Medical Center - Bend
Agenda:	Networking: 5pm - 6pm Dinner & Program: 6pm - 8pm
Menu:	Marinated Grilled Lamb Loin Chops, Wild Mushroom, Farro and Spinach "Risotto", Finished with Truffle Oil, Seasonal Green salad. Vegetarian: same Risotto with White Beans and Seasonal Veggies.
Register:	Please make your dinner reservation no later than Thursday, February 10th, online at www.networkwomen.org. Member price is $22 and non-members price is $27. A an additional $5 charge is automatically added to late registrations. Indicate regular or vegetarian meal.

NEW Member Luncheon

Don't forget the new member luncheon the second Wednesday of each month at Cascades Lakes Brewery from 12:00 to 1:30. All new members are invited to attend. If you have been a member for a while and are interested in having a refresh on the orientation information, call Maci or Dawn and let them know you would like to attend. Great way to meet new members and reacquaint yourself with the benefits of NEW.

Did You Know?

NEW was launched in 1986 as an independent organization born of WEO (Women Entrepreneurs of Oregon). The ladies who were members of WEO locally felt they would benefit more from a local organization and so NEW was launched. I've been a member since 1993 and have seen many members come and go and quite a few changes. I am very proud of where we are now. A big change that has been made is that serving on the Board, while still entailing work, is now also fun. The directors are very connected to each other and enjoy making a contribution. They also have teams to share the workload. Our numbers at monthly meeting are much higher than they used to be and the members are actively patronizing one another's businesses far more than seemed to happen in the past. An organization that many newcomers used to describe as clique-y is now mainly experienced as welcoming. This is definitely an organization that supports growth in business, leadership training, and friendship.
