History

Network of Entrepreneurial Women (NEW) is an independent, non-profit organization founded to encourage and support self-directed, entrepreneurial women and their businesses. NEW was founded in 1986. Since that time NEW has supported hundreds of professional women in an array of fields, among them: retail sales, health care, counseling, banking and finance, high tech and computing, marketing, printing, real estate, law, insurance, personnel, and business services.

Overview

We welcome women in all fields and endeavors to be part of a supportive group to further their goals, whether they are entrepreneurial business owners, professionals pursuing a career, or simply women wishing to explore, expand, and enhance their lives and environments. We invite you to become part of this growing membership and to discover the benefits for you and your business.

Network Meetings

Who says you can't mix business with pleasure? Monthly dinner meetings serve as our primary gathering, where fine food and socializing add to an informative evening filled with business networking opportunities and inspiration. Dinner meetings include:

• Networking -- A wonderful opportunity to meet and socialize with other women in a warm and gracious environment.
• Showcases -- A venue for members to showcase their businesses. A great way to advertise for just $50!
• Pot of Gold -- Purchase $1 raffle tickets for a chance to win exciting gifts and services. All proceeds used to help fund our nonprofit organization.
• Professional Speakers -- Our speakers are motivational, inspirational, educational or entertaining! All speakers are carefully screened by our Board.
• A Delicious Meal -- A special treat each month from the excellent catering service at St. Charles Medical Center.

Speakers and Presentations

Speakers include nationally known figures and authors in addition to local business people and educators. Occasionally a panel may be invited to discuss issues of particular interest to Central Oregonians. Topics include a mix of both professional and personal issues--from finances to Feng Shui; from employee management to health care management. Our goal is to always present engaging, educational, motivational, and entertaining themes that benefit the needs of our members.

When and Where

Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month (except in August and December), from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. All meetings take place in Bend, primarily at the conference center at St. Charles Medical Center. Any alternate location is announced in the newsletter. Reservations must be made in advance. All reservations must be in by midnight on the Thursday prior to the meeting. (If we can accept a reservation after this time, there will be an automatic $5 service fee.) To make reservations online, go to the Home Page and click on the event you wish to attend. Guests

Guests are always welcome to attend our monthly meetings. We are often complimented on how welcoming our group is to visitors and members alike. Non-members may come to two meetings before asked to make a decision to join the group. The cost for guests is $27.00.
